The M4B Cap-O-Matic Space Pen applies a non-reflective matte black powder coat finish to the standard Cap-O-Matic form. Press the cap to extend the refill; press again to retract. Single-hand cap activation. No separate cap. Brass and steel construction. Length: 5.375 inches. Fitted with a Fisher Pressurized PR4 refill, black ink, medium point. The pen ships in gift packaging, as can be seen in the images.
The non-reflective matte black finish suits low-visibility field conditions. Compatible with any PR-series refill cartridge.

The Fisher pressurised refill writes at any angle, upside down, underwater, through grease, and in temperatures from -35°C to +121°C (-30°F to +250°F), on almost any surface. The Cap-O-Matic mechanism, press to extend, press to retract, functions with one hand, through gloves, and in conditions where the standard cap-off mechanism creates a liability.
The non-reflective matte black powder coat on the M4B was developed for use in low-visibility environments: military operations, tactical applications, law enforcement, and any context where a reflective surface on a writing instrument creates an operational disadvantage.
